Looking at Iverson’s career, you would expect him to have a lot of buzzer beater game winning shots; but up until the summer of 2004, he remained without one his NBA play. Before the American’s were eliminated in the Olympics and not win their first Gold medal in over 12 years, Allen Iverson netted his first game winning buzzer beater. Following a late second jumper from Dirk Nowitzki to give Germany an edge with seconds remaining; Iverson would answer right back with half-court shot to give the Team USA men’s basketball collective one of their rare wins that year.
