1998 NBA Finals Game 6 | Bulls 87, Jazz 86 | June 14, 1998
Jordan-Line: 45 points, 44 Minutes, 12-15 FT
Tyson, Jackson, Jordan….Game 6! Dubbed “The Last Shot,” Michael Jordan was seeing the light at the end of tunnel with obvious problems in the organization how they wanted to head forward; he would give fans an evening they would never forget. As Chicago had a chance to end the series at home, they would lose a big game 5 instantly giving Utah confidence heading back home down 3-2 in the series, but in Jordan’s final game with a Bulls jersey on, he wanted to end things now. Chicago was playing the catch-up game for the better part of the final quarter as the Bulls would finally tie the game with a minute left to only get hit up by John Stock knocking down a 3 with 41 seconds left.
The Bulls showing no signs of discouragement would answer right back with Jordan breakdown two defenders for an off the glass shot in only 4 seconds. The Jazz would follow suit setting up Malone in the post but Jordan would have the biggest defensive stop of the day coming from behind and swatting the ball way and would dribble up the court with 20 seconds left down by 1. Jordan would get ISO and dribble right pushing off Byron once again like the previous game-winner and knock down an open mid-range shot. The pose at the end just put the finishing touches on the series and at the time we thought his career.
