The Patriots suffered a major loss yesterday in their win over the Browns, when star TE Rob Gronkowski took a shot to the knee. He was then carted off the field and the crowd feared the worst. It now seems that their worst fears may be reality, as reports are coming in that Gronkowski has a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.
For both the Patriots and Gronkowski this is devastating news in both the short and long term. Now heading into the playoffs the Pats will be without their most dynamic weapon on offense, and after seeing how they played without Gronk earlier this year that is not a good thing. For Gronk’s long term outlook we can only hope that he is able to recover fully and get back on the field sometime, but all the injuries he has faced in his career are quite overwhelming.
