Paul George Gets Ejected For Kicking Basketball Into Stands

In the worst way to be ejected possible, Paul George managed to get himself kicked out of tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls by turning into an NFL kicker.

PG13 seemed frustrated with a call in the third quarter against Jimmy Butler and chose to kick the ball in response. It actually managed to go into the stands and hit a fan sitting towards the head. He immediately went to apologize, but it was too late at that point. He had already assessed a technical and then was thrown out of the match.

Luckily for him, the Indiana Pacers still won the game. Here’s what he said about the incident:

“I meant to kick the ball against the mat, the stanchion, I guess. And my soccer skills isn’t as good as I thought. I apologized to the people who I hit, and I’m glad my team was able to pick up this win and me not be at fault for the loss.

“It happened. [I’ll] move forward from it. I’ll learn. Again, grateful that we won this game and that ejection didn’t cost us.”

George finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Jeff Teague led all Pacers scorers with 21 in the win. Butler ended with 16 points on the night.
