Pete Carroll Is In Favor Of Use Of Medical Marijuana For NFL Injuries

While Seattle Seahawks prepare for the Super Bowl this Sunday, Pete Carroll took some time today to address the media in a Q&A. Among those questions, was one about usage of medical marijuana for NFL injury treatment. Carroll revealed that he was in favor of the league finding new ways to treat injuries for concussions; and ending a marijuana ban if it helped players. This comes following commissioner Roger Goodell’s statements last week, revealing the NFL would consider the use of medical marijuana in a healing capacity.

This is sure to be a highly debated topic for sometime to come in the NFL; but we believe that if the use of marijuana helps players heal faster and more effectively then we are all for it. Watch video of Carroll speaking on the subject after the jump.
