One of the highest honors year in and year out in sports is the Sports Illustrated “Sportsman Of The Year” award. This year the prestigious award went to none other than Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning. Them picking Manning is really no surprise. He continues to lead the Broncos this season to one of the best records in the NFL and is doing so on the verge of breaking individual passing records.
Peyton isn’t doing any of this at a young age either. He also isn’t playing like a man who has had multiple neck surgeries in the past 3 years. What he has been able to do with the upmost professionalism is quite impressive and it makes it very understandable why he won the award. Now Peyton and the Broncos fans just have to hope the SI curse isn’t real and they aren’t knocked off in the playoffs.
