Philadelphia 76ers Remove Nerlens Noel from Rotation after Coaching Criticism

Nerlens Noel’s days in Philadelphia could be numbered

A few days ago, Nerlens Noel raised a few eyes around the league, when he publicly complained about his lack of minutes for the Philadelphia 76rers. For whatever reason, they spent three consecutive years drafting centers – before landing Ben Simmons over the summer.

With him and Joel Embiid set to begin a new era for the Sixers, the team still hasn’t decided what to do with the futures of Jahlil Okafor and Noel. That was until tonight, when they decided to remove Nerlens from the team’s regular rotation, for the foreseeable future. Following a meeting with head coach Brett Brown yesterday, Philly decided it was best to neutralize this distraction from the team – which could be the sign of an imminent trade in the works before the February deadline.

Okafor still has a hard time playing alongside Embiid, so we’re not sold on Noel being the odd-man out – especially when Simmons returns and they need an interior presence on the court for the future. Let us know in the comments what you would do with this Noel situation.
