Eagles ship away the star running-back to 10-a-KEY
With the exception of giving Sam Bradford a new two-year, $36 million contract, the Philadelphia Eagles are looking do away with anything that reminds them of Chip Kelly. Last season, the team severely under-performed, missing the playoffs with a 7-9 regular season record.
Earlier today, the team traded Byron Maxwell and Kiko Alonso to the Miami Dolphins, for an undisclosed draft pick and have made another shocking move. Following a career low in rushing yards, DeMarco Murray, has officially been traded from the Eagles to the Tennessee Titans.
Last year, he agreed to a 5-year, $40 million deal with Philadelphia after not coming to terms for a new extension with the Dallas Cowboys and has re-worked his contract to suit the Titans.
Following an unproductive year and recently just turning 28, the ceiling for prime play for Murray is almost closed, which transitioning to the 3-13 Titans will be a career change. Joining sophomore quarterback Marcus Mariota in the backfield for Tennessee is eye-raising if you’re fan of the Titans, as the team still needs to address right tackle and left guard issues.
