Predicting Who Will Be In This Year’s Super Bowl

Dallas Cowboys

For the first time in five years, the Dallas Cowboys have made their return to the post-season. With arguably their best team since their Super Bowl XXX victory 20 years ago, the Cowboys are an extreme dark horse to surprise many this post-season. Finishing the season with a 12-4 record, the win-loss and statistics show they are one of the more elite teams around the league. Since their 2009 divisional playoff blowout loss to the Minnesota Vikings, Jerry Jones has been re-tooling the team with a slew of hard-nosed players to surround his golden boy, Tony Romo.

Over the season, Romo put up MVP-like numbers in highest QBR, passing percentage, yards per pass, and completion percentage. Along with the league’s best rusher in DeMarco Murray, this enabled their passing game to really flourish throughout the season – allowing Dez Bryant to have the open field to himself on select single coverage at times. The biggest problem the Cowboys have is just experience in the off-season with this collective of players, but they’ve shown confidence from top to bottom all season.

Prediction: Sleeper Team
