The Denver Broncos are still trying to forget their horrific Super Bowl performance 11 months ago at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks. With Peyton Manning putting on his best overall career performance, many suggested that performance would never happen again from the future Hall-of-Famer. While Manning’s stats took a significant dive this year due to fatigue in the later stages of the season, the Broncos still managed to secure a wild card bye this weekend. Denver managed to only lose four games for the entire season, boasting another successful tenure in this era, but their defeat two weeks ago against the Cincinnati Bengals pretty much ensured they would have to get through the New England Patriots on the road at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro – which is something Peyton never likes. Alongside getting Manning healthy, the likes of Wes Welker, Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas will also be receiving much needed rest; in another Super Bowl or bust season.
