New England Patriots
Seriously, what’s stopping the New England Patriots from winning this year’s Super Bowl? Alongside having the best coach and the best quarterback, the Patriots have another shot at solidifying themselves as a dynasty. With Tom Brady taking a $24 million dollar pay-cut recently to ensure the team would improve in talent during the off-season, New England is looking to win their first championship in over a decade. Brady would’ve cemented himself as the greatest quarterback of all time, but two consecutive Super Bowl losses to Eli Manning and the New York Giants put that conversation on hold. At the age of 37, Tom initially had a “rough start”, with a 2-2 season start. While the team flirted with dropping below .500 and even a rumored rift between Bill Belichick and Brady, they managed to bounce back and secure home-field advantage throughout the entire playoffs.
Left-tackle, Nate Solder injured his knee last weekend in the season finale against the Buffalo Bills and will be seeing much needed rest the next week. The only thing that could hinder the Patriots from winning another Super Bowl is essentially a major injury to their receiving core. Rob Gronkowski has been Brady’s number one target all season, even if the stats don’t show it. Winning it all is very likely for the Massachusetts collective once again.
