In the first leg of the Champions League quarter final clash, PSG used home turf to their advantage in order to secure a 3-1 victory over Chelsea. The French giants proved their strength in just the fourth minute, after a poor defensive clearance from Terry resulted in Lavezzi scoring from inside the area. It wasn’t until the 27th minute that the second goal arrived, with Silva bringing down Oscar in the penalty area, and giving Hazard a chance to make it 1-1 from the spot. PSG started the second half similar to the first, with their hard work paying off by Luiz giving away a free-kick, and the same player putting the ball into the back of his own net. Despite solid efforts from both sides, Pastore managed to push away from several players in injury time to make it 3-1 with a neat finish.
The second leg will take place at Stamford Bridge on April 8th, with PSG having the upper hand after the first encounter.
