R. Kelly is known for classic R&B jams from the ’90s, extra curricular controversial activities with alleged minors, two-step music, sexual innuendos on records, but basketball? Not really. Kellz can ball in other ways than just spending money though.
On Tuesday night at the Barclays Center to sing the national anthem, Robert took the time to shoot around with Brooklyn Nets rookie Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and he showed everyone around he could shoot from beyond the arc. Posted up with a suit, turtleneck and cigar in his mouth, Kellz launched a three from Steph Curry territory and it hit nothing but net. It was certainly no “Backyard Party” after the fact, but he definitely boasted about the shot from downtown.
At this point, the R. could probably make the cut for the team because it can’t get any worse than their 2-9 start. They actually edged the Atlanta Hawks at home 90-88 tonight.
