Rajon Rondo Could Be Back Sooner Than Expected

Rajon-Rondo-Celtics

Lost in all the talk about Derrick Rose coming back and Russell Westbrook’s rehabilitation, is the status of Rajon Rondo and his return to the court after tearing his ACL. The good news for Celtics fans is that according to Rondo, he could be back sooner than expected. During a random Q&A session, Rondo stated that he is going to get fitted for his first brace very soon and should be ready for contact shortly after that.

Not only is this huge news for the Celtics, but also for any team that would be looking to call up Boston and try and trade for Rondo. You know, like a team who needs a PG and is very close to winning a title (see: the Pacers). Trading Rondo has been explored in the past, but until he returns to the court at least the practice level, they will not be able to progress. As pure basketball fans, we want to see Rondo back on the court ASAP, because he is simply one of the best point guards in the game, when healthy.
