The Boston Celtics received some huge news today when coach Brad Stevens reported that PG Rajon Rondo has been cleared to return to full-contact practice. The Celtics have fared pretty decent this year without Rondo in the lineup, but adding such a dynamic player to the roster would be a huge help.
The other underlying part of Rondo coming back to the court is other teams get to see how he looks upon his return. It has long been thought that Boston is looking to deal Rondo and fully begin their rebuilding process by getting as many assets for him as possible. With Houston is looking to trade Omar Asik as early as next week, it will be very interesting to see if Rondo’s name get’s thrown around in any deals. Early expectations are that Rondo will return to an actual game this month.
