The NBA has been riddled with injuries this season with Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook and Kobe Bryant all going down and missing significant time. With all of the bad news, this NBA season has seemed like a drag so far, but don’t worry because one of the league’s best will be back soon enough.
Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo announced today that he will return from his torn ACL injury before the NBA All-Star break. The festivities take place on February 14-16 of this year, so you can expect to see Rajon on the court before that.
Of course we have yet to get official word from the Celtics on Rondo’s status and if he has even be cleared by the team doctors. Rondo’s return will not just be monitored closely by people in Boston either because of the numerous reports that the Celtics are looking to deal the PG in order to help their full team rebuild. Whatever happens with Rajon moving forward, all we know is that we can’t wait to see him back on the floor.
Check out Rondo’s full quotes after the jump.
UPDATE: Sources have confirmed that Rondo will return to the court tomorrow night against the Los Angeles Lakers.
