Suggs Returns To Action This Sunday After ACL Tear.
Just six months after tearing his Achilles (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) in back in April during the NFL Draft, Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs is expected to play this Sunday against the Houston Texans according to various league sources. This comes just one week after the Ravens lost two key players for the entire season in Ray Lewis (torn triceps) and Lardarius Webb (knee) as they’ll look to Suggs to bring an emotional uplifting to Ravens organization as well as the city.
Pretty remarkable recovery considering torn ACL’s normally take a full year to completely recover from (speaking from personal experience); and more crazy that Derrick Rose encountered the same injury the same week as he’s not even close to 50% healthy.
Suggs returned to team practice Wednesday morning as Ravens coach John Harbaugh initially expected his player to return to action at the earliest in mid-November, but it looks like with the recent transactions last weekend with injuries we’ll see Suggs returning to action early. We’ll all be able to check out last year’s Defensive Player of the Year when the Baltimore Ravens travel to play the Houston Texans on Sunday at 1:00pm ET on CBS.
Check after the jump to watch Lomas Brown, Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith all discuss Suggs return from the injury and their expectations for him.
