A tumultuous season is an understatement for what happened to Robert Griffin III this season. Not only was he demoted from his starting job as the Washington Redskins quarterback, he went all the way down the pecking order to third string.
On Monday, when he finished cleaning out his locker, he avoided the media and left everyone a note before saying goodbye. The quote he left hanging in his locker was actually something he put up earlier in the season, but he made sure to leave it as a souvenir to the organization in what appears to be his last stint in Washington. The team has until March 9 to release him, or pay up the $16.2 million they owe him.
The letter above, references “The Paradoxical Commandments,” which is something Dr. Kent M. Keith wrote in 1968 and is based on a poem by Mother Teresa.
Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson explained on Twitter how this shows RGIII’s character and class even after losing his job to Kirk Cousins.
1 of many reasons @RGIII's career is far from over. He handled his situation with professionalism and class #Respect pic.twitter.com/BBfhB8Aj0b
