Following a strong blow to the knee on Wednesday evening, it’s been confirmed that Robin van Persie will be out of action for around four-six weeks. Despite Man Utd winning 3-0 against Olympiakos and securing their way into the quarter finals of the Champions League, the Dutchman’s brilliant hat-trick was overshadowed by being stretchered off the pitch and replaced by Fellaini.
The injury means the striker will be unavailable for a number of remaining games in their Premier League campaign, as well as their difficult European fixtures against the champions Bayern Munich next month.
