A one day delay of Game 3 in the ALCS didn’t make much of a difference. The Kansas City Royals still came away with the win and now lead the series 3-0, only one win away from the World Series.
It was much a quiet night for both teams, besides Mike Moustakas making some defensive plays out on the field and taking away the MVP of the game.
The Baltimore Orioles started the game with the lead, scoring in the 2nd inning after J.J. Hardy doubled to deep right, bringing in Steve Pearce from second base.
The Royals got on and had bases loaded in the bottom of the 4th, as Alex Gordon grounded out, but tied up the game with an RBI.
Remember those defensive plays we told you Moose was making? They looked like this:

Later on in the inning, Billy Butler hit a sacrifice fly to left field, as Jarrod Dyson tagged up at third and ran home to put the Royals up 2-1 against the Orioles.
By the time the Kansas City bullpen took the mound, it was lights out for Baltimore. Jason Frasor, Kelvin Herrera, Wade Davis and Greg Holland allowed zero hits to finish the game, giving the Royals the definitive win at home and inched them closer to the World Series.
Kansas City stays at home and can clinch the series on Wednesday when they play Game 4 at 4:07pm.
