Last night during the middle of the NBA opening night, Yahoo! Sports decided to drop a bomb revealing that Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook could be back in as little as two weeks. The original thought was that Westbrook would be out an additional 6-8 weeks after doctors had to go back into his knee and remove something else after the initial surgery. Now Westbrook is rumored to be be back much sooner than that after he has been showing out in practice and looking better than ever. This is huge news for the Thunder, who come into this season with some question marks surrounding them.
Kevin Durant will now have his partner and crime back and be poised to once again be a force in the Western Conference. The only real concern we would have is that Westbrook is rushing back too soon, but we will see how progresses throughout the season.
