“I’m not afraid to lose, I’m more afraid of being not prepared to win.”

With the Seattle Seahawks set to open their 2014 season against the Green Bay Packers this Thursday; Russell Wilson was next featured for ESPN’s Sports Center Conversation series.

Things started by discussing how the team’s victory against the Denver Broncos helped give him confidence moving forward for those big moments. Chris Berman touched on whether Wilson would be studying fellow quarterback Aaron Rodgers in pre-game warm-ups, and whether he would be taking notes during regulation. Wilson remained optimistic, saying he’s still learning and trying to grow as a player; but revealed it’s always good to watch great players play.

After the jump, more on the interview, including thoughts on why the team’s focus is strictly on winning games week-to-week, as opposed to looking ahead at becoming a dynasty.
