The receiver came alive!
Sammy Watkins hasn’t been as stellar as you’d expect this season, but that’s due in part to him battling injuries (he had a sprained left ankle) and being out a few games. But with Tyrod Taylor back in the lineup, the two connected on a bomb from deep to score.
On a 3rd and 14 towards the end of the 3rd quarter, Taylor saw the separation Watkins got on the Miami Dolphins defender and decided to take a shot down the field. The result: A 44-yard touchdown on a ball perfectly placed for Sammy to just put his hands out and haul it in. The play gave the Buffalo Bills a 26-14 and pretty much solidified the win for them at home.
Watkins finished the game with a monster 8 receptions for 168 yards receiving (career high).
