We’re not quite sure where the Oklahoma City Thunder were tonight, but they weren’t on the floor Wednesday night at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. They’re certainly not the team that were second in the 2014 Western Conference standings and most definitely not the same Thunder that swept the Spurs in four meetings throughout the season. They’re feeling that Serge Ibaka loss more than anyone expected.
In Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, OKC gave the Spurs free reign to do whatever they wanted. Danny Green wanted to shoot 3’s? They gave him the open looks. Tony Parker wanted to drive the lane? He scored every time. The Spurs drew the defense in? They just dished it off to the open man and the Thunder got help rotating. And that’s all she wrote for the 122-77 loss on the road for Oklahoma City.
Just put it this way: It was the worst loss in OKC playoff history.

Tony Parker led all Spurs scorers, putting up 22 points, while Danny Green added 21 points thanks to seven 3-pointers. Tim Duncan ended the game with 14 points and 12 rebounds and Manu Ginobli provided that spark off the bench with 11 points.
On the other side of the ball, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook both scored 15 points for the Thunder and the other starters combined for measly 4 points between efforts from Thabo Sefolosha, Nick Collison and Kendrick Perkins. Jeremy Lamb provided 13 points off the bench and Reggie Jackson scored 8 of his own.
The best part of the night for Oklahoma City was probably Nick Collison’s tip in. Unfortunately, that’s where the fun stopped. This loss was ugly and embarrassing.
