We hope Jerry Jones was taking notes for this one!
The Seahawks and Redskins Monday night match-up quickly became the Russell Wilson show. His mobility caused a major issue for the Redskins defense throughout the night as he rushed for a MNF QB record 122 yards and a touchdown. His passing numbers (18/24, 201yds and 2 TDs) do not show the damage he actually caused but it had nothing to do with his performance. Wilson would unfortunately have multiple end zone strikes called back due to penalties on his offensive line. Percy Harvin had not one, not two, but THREE touchdowns negated by penalties. Tough!
How would Kirk Cousins fare against the Legion of Boom? He did a solid job and played very well against the stingy Seattle secondary (20/35 with 283yds and 2TDs) and one thing is certain, the Seattle defense better respect DeSean Jackson. He torched them for 157 yards, including a 60 yard bomb down the sidelines before the half.
The Redskins deserve a lot of credit though, as they overcame an early 17-0 lead and battled back to make it a one possession game until late in the 4th. Russell Wilson and the Seahawks were just too much as they came away with a 27-17 win in DC. They now soak in the victory and wait until Tony Romo and Dallas Cowboys visit them on Sunday.
