Mayweather Returns To The Ring After A Year Lay-Off To Face The Ghost In Las Vegas!
Tonight, we’re granted a special treat with the return of Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr as he’ll be facing The Ghost, Robert Guerror in a 12 round bout for THE WBC Welterweight title. The event which is exclusively on Showtime PPV in a few hours, has already seen Mayweather equal his career highest purse for $32M in guaranteed staying true to the moniker “Money Mayweather.”
This equals his fight last May which he faced Miguel Cotto, which Showtime is heavily promoting Floyd’s new multi-fight deal. Robert however won’t be seeing the type of cash Floyd will, as he’ll be taking home little over $3M.
Along with Floyd WBC Welterweight title, the vacnt Ring Welterweight belt is also up for grabs. In the past week, we’ve seen the tension build between both fighters with Robert’s father even publicly calling Floyd a “wife beater” from his past chargers. Whether that was smart on the Guerror family, some of us here are thinking how much more fueled will Floyd be heading into tonight’s fight; as he should have more incentive to not play the judges card and go for a real knockouk.
