New Format, New Skaters & Bigger Prize Purses. Check The Jump For Complete Details.
Last night, Nyjah Huston qualified first, yet again (no big surprise here) as he absolutely killed it finishing with a 8.2. Gnarly right? Huston who’s presumably the favorite to win this tour, is now considered by most to be the greatest skateboarder in the world and could possibly go for a 4th X-games gold medal. Street League rookie Austyn Gillette and Bastien Salabanzi also pleased the fans last night with their amazing pop, style and trick selection.
Contestants have a shot at a grand total of $1.6M making it the largest purse in skateboarding history. Coverage begins tonight at 8:00 pm (ET) live on streetleague.com as two of the pros that finished from 7th to 12th have one last shot to qualify in the semi-finals and continue their pursuit for this year’s Street League prize. Then at 9:00 pm (ET), the Stop One Finals in Kansas City will start live tonight at ESPN2 & ESPN3 Streaming. The next stop for Street League is July 15th and 16th in Ontario, California at the Citizens Business Bank Arena, as nearly $400K will be awarded.
