Jay-Z continues to sign elite athletes to his new recently launched Roc Nation sports agency, with adding Women’s basketball phenom Skylar Diggins. In this year’s WNBA Draft, Diggins went no. 3 overall to the Tulsa Shock behind fellow All-American’s Brittney Griner and Delle Donne, who went 1 & 2 respectively.
Skylar finished her collegiate career as the all-time scoring leader for Notre Dame basketball and will look to continue her leadership and high level IQ play into the WNBA this summer. The Jiggaman’s sports management team has signed Yankees second baseman Robinson Canó and Giants wide-receiver Victor Cruz to start the brand.
Now signing Diggins only furthers their vision in having the top athletes in multiple sports to attract more in the future. Speaking of the future, the 2013 NHL draft is a few weeks away, which Jay-Z is looking to also acquire top Hockey prospect Seth Jones (son of former NBA player Popeye Jones).
We can only imagine what’s next for Roc Nation Sports in the future.
