First and foremost, we have to admit that we’re Buccaneers fans to begin with, so our opinion may be biased when it comes to the new uniforms. Which is precisely why we rather leave it to our readers to tell it like it is when it comes the Tampa Bay Bucs new uniform in case our blind perspective kicked in at any point in time.
As you can see from the picture above, Tampa Bay has just unveiled their new NFL Nike Elite 51 uni’s for the 2014-2015 season. Some fun facts about the new uniform that took two years to create include the fact that, contrary to the black background, the uniform is the color “pewter.” The numbers are also inspired by historical Buccaneer blade carvings, which look more like an old school digital alarm clock from this angle. The face mask was also supposed to be chrome, but from what it looks like in the promo shot, it is not. The logo on the helmet is a lot bigger, too.
