We feel your pain Uncle Snoop!
With the exception of Long Beach cornerback Iman Marshall, a majority of the top 300 recruits for the 2015 high school football class have committed to their preferred college on National Signing Day. The no. 1 overall recruit in the country, Defensive end Bryon Cowart made headlines earlier when he committed to the University of Auburn.
Defensive-tackles, Terry Beckner Jr. and Trenton Thompson both committed to Missouri and Georgia respectively but the main headline today was Cordell Broadus big decision. Cordell Broadus broke family tradition, when he officially announced today he would be taking his talents to UCLA. Snoop Dogg, who’s known in the past for being one of more dedicated fans of the USC Trojans, swallowed his pride and stood behind his son in support.
The loyalty went so far, that Snoop was even considerate to wear a UCLA jersey and proclaimed he would be throwing away his S.C. gear – for the time being. Head Coach Jim Mora landed five of the top fifty prospects (most of any school) and later in the day received news of a special all-American WR would be coming home. If the rivalry wasn’t already intense before, the annual Pac-12 rivalry game sees even more fuel to added to the fire.
