The No. 2 pick in this year’s draft and the future of the Los Angeles Lakers has the star quality to make it in the league, but according to Sports Science, D’Angelo Russell also has the skills. One thing that can be said about the Ohio State point guard is the fact that his passes are top notch. He’s already surprising teammates during summer league practices and the Lakers organization is excited for that he can bring to the table next season.
In this video with ESPN, they test out how fast Russell can throw passes with accuracy and they found out he’s beating out some of the best players who have ever stepped foot in the building by at least 10%. He can also throw passes in the tightest of places and can spot a target with the best of them. And that’s to go along with his height and wingspan compared to other guards.
This should get Los Angeles fans excited for what’s to come.
