Start ‘Em Or Sit ‘Em: Fantasy Football Playoffs Edition

eco-08

The time has finally come. Fantasy Football playoffs are upon us. The dreams of an entire season are on the line. The countless hours stressing over your lineup while frantically making changes every 30 seconds will be put to the test because all the chips are in. The ability to hold this matchup over your buddies for 364 days and bragging rights is priceless.

So let us do how we usually do and break down who you should keep on the bench this week and who you should plug into the starting lineup.

Start ‘Em

  1. Ben Tate – Tate broke out last week for the Texans and gets to play a rather weak Jaguars team tomorrow night. Plug him in if you want to get an early lead in your matchup.
  2. Kendall Wright – Wright has been surging lately for the Titans and is a solid play at WR. He excels in after the catch yards which equals huge fantasy numbers.
  3. Alshon Jeffery – Pretty obvious that you have to start Jeffery at this point. With Josh McCown starting once again, Jeffery looks to get plenty of targets against a weak Cowboys secondary that will be all over Brandon Marshall.
  4. Fred Jackson – CJ Spiller broke out last week, but Jackson also had a very good game. Add in the fact that Jackson gets all the redzone touches makes this a no brainer.
  5. Michael Floyd – Floyd has been very consistent for the Cardinals lately and has a great synergy with Carson Palmer. It would be wise to plug Floyd into your lineup.

Sit ‘Em

  1. Andrew Luck – Another week we don’t like Luck, as he and the Colts go up against a very good Bengals defense. The Colts still don’t look like an elite offense at this point so you may need to go to your QB2 this week.
  2. Danny Woodhead – Over the past month, Woodhead’s touches and looks have gone down in the majority. The Giants defense has been playing better of late, so we don’t like Danny this week.
  3. Piere Garcon – The Redskins offense is a complete mess right now and going against a hungry Chiefs team on Sunday won’t help at all.
  4. Antonio Gates – Gates time in San Diego may be slowing down with newcomer LaDarius Green starting to get some heavy snaps for the Chargers. Be cautious of playing Gates in any of your matchups.
  5. T.Y. Hilton – With the Colts struggling on offense, Hilton’s production has fallen off lately, even in Reggie Wayne’s absence. If you have another option at WR then we suggest you plug him in.
