Start ‘Em Or Sit ‘Em: Week 10 Fantasy Football Notes

Fantasy Football is turning up to a new level at this point with unpredicted things occurring every week. For example Nick Foles throwing for 7 TD’s last week or Ray Rice having less than 20 rush yards total in a game. That unpredictability really makes it important to take into account for the matchups each week and try and figure out who might go off or who might be a dud. Luckily enough for all of you we are here to help.

Start ‘Em

  1. Ben Roethlisberger – Big Ben has been quietly under the radar the past couple of weeks because the Steelers are so bad. Ben’s numbers however have not been bad at all. He is worth a start if you have been unhappy with your QB play lately.
  2. Pierre Thomas – We absolutely love Thomas this week for the Saints. Going up against a pretty weak Cowboys defense will help especially with Sproles being banged up.
  3. Peyton Hillis – The Giants RB situation is pretty iffy right now with David Wilson officially being sent to the IR and Andre Brown back. It sounds like they want to bring Brown back slowly though so look for Hillis to carry the load for at least this week.
  4. Riley Cooper – Earlier this week we told you to pick up Riley so you might as well play him. He looks to be the favorite target of Nick Foles so expect those big plays to keep flowing in.
  5. Kenny Stills – Stills broke out a couple of weeks ago for the Saints scoring some big TD’s but then got kind of quiet. With Jimmy Graham and Marques Colston being beat up look for Stills to reemerge in the passing game.

Sit ‘Em

  1. Ray Rice – When did Ray Rice become a shell of his old self? It is a very risky move to play him this week against a good Bengals defense on the road.
  2. Alshon Jeffery – Some people have Jeffery on the other side of this list, but with Jay Cutler coming back to the lineup we all know he loves to throw to Brandon Marshall a lot. That might leave Jeffery out in the cold vs. the Lions.
  3. Terrell Pryor – Pyror was the hot start at QB for awhile in fantasy leagues but that has slowed down of late. The Raiders are just such a bad team that he really can’t get anything going. Look for that Giants defense to be all over him on Sunday.
  4. Matt Ryan – Even with Roddy White coming back to the lineup for the Falcons Ryan is still a risky play. It is pretty unbelievable how bad things have got in Atlanta in such a short period of time.
  5. Ryan Matthews – This is a pretty strange situation in San Diego. For a couple of weeks it looked like Matthews was taking over and ready to be the guy at RB, but lately it has been Danny Woodhead getting the majority of snaps. It will be something to monitor closely moving forward.
