Here we are yet again! Another week of Fantasy Football to keep you on your toes during the weekend. It’s starting to get into crunch time of the fantasy season, where every move is considered critical. Bringing a player from bench to the field due to injuries and bye weeks could equal to a key victory for you down the stretch. Especially in close games that come down to a few points. Nothing sucks more than having bench players perform better than starters.

After the jump, take a peek at some of the players we have as essential starters this week and others we advise you stay away from. It may make or break your season!

Players To Start

  1. Harry Douglas – With Julio Jones out for the year and Roddy White out for at least this week Harry Douglas is a must start. He will get all the #1 looks from Matt Ryan moving forward.
  2. Nick Foles – Is the Nick Foles era officially underway in Philly? That is yet to be seen, but Foles is a solid play at QB this week. He proved last week that he can let that ball fly to Desean Jackson so look more of the same this week against a weak Cowboys defense.
  3. Joseph Randle – With Demarco Murray out this weekend Randle will get the #1 back carries vs. a very bad Philly defense. The only problem with Randle is if the game turns into a shootout and the Cowboys abandon the run game.
  4.  Keenan Allen – Allen has emerged as the favorite target of Phillip Rivers in San Diego so look for that big production to continue moving forward. It also helps that the Chargers have one of the best passing attacks in the league.
  5. Phillip Rivers – Speaking of Rivers he has moved into the start every week category at QB. His numbers have been some of the best in the league through 6 weeks this year.

Players To Sit

  1. Sam Bradford – Bradford lit up the Texans last week so you might be tempted to start him, but don’t expect much out of him this week vs. a very tough Carolina defense.
  2. Greg Jennings – Yes the Vikings have Josh Freeman at QB this week and you might think that would be a good sign for Jennings. We think not! Until we see how Freeman handles himself in Minnesota Jennings is a risky move.
  3. Chris Johnson – It continues to be hard to depend on CJ every week, and going against a very tough 49ers defense will not help at all.
  4. Andre Johnson – Case Keenum is starting at QB this week for the Houston Texans. Not sure who that is? Exactly why you should be weary of starting Andre this week.
  5. Miles Austin – Austin came back from injury last week for Dallas but hardly contributed to the offense. Even the coaching staff said it would be a process to bring him back to full health so until he proves it on the field he could be a bust.
