Steph Curry Sets New NBA Record for Most 3-Pointers Made in a Season

Steph breaks his own record for most threes made in a season

Following consecutive loses to the San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans; Steve Kerr had his starters still playing with a week before the start of the playoffs – for whatever reason. In the night-cap last night, the Golden State Warriors played host to the Portland Trail Blazers and were looking to 3-0 the season series.

With ORACLE Arena buzzing louder than ever for their highest-seeding home team, Portland would come out guns blazing, highlighted by some early scoring from Damian Lillard and consistency throughout the entire game from LaMarcus Aldridge. The crowd became anxious during the mid-way point of the 2nd quarter, where Portland was flirting with the possibility of a blowout up 13 with only four minutes remaining.

Steph Curry would answer back, netting two consecutive three pointers made within 50 seconds, to eventually help his team reacquire the lead heading into half. Capping off a 21-5 run, Portland was seen visibly defeated, as Curry would have his first 40-point and 10 assist night and clinch his bid as the 2015 season MVP.
