Here’s what Curry had to say about the shade
Last week, LeBron James went out of his way to address not receiving a single vote for the 2016 MVP Award that Stephen Curry won for the second consecutive year. With the King on the back end of his career, LeBron questioned the true meaning of valuable in MVP, saying “I think sometimes the word ‘valuable’ or best player of the year, you can have different results.”
While James gave Curry all of the praise in the world for his career year, he essentially gave indication that he didn’t think Curry was more valuable to the Warriors, than he was to the Cavaliers. As Golden State prepares for their game one showdown Monday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Steph briefly responded to the slight shade remakes earlier this weekend.
At the 10-minute mark, he went to say, “I’ve gotten really good at ignoring people, that is the theme of the last two years. I’m alright.” Well, now that we know how Curry feels about comments indirectly heading towards his way, we’re assuming this will be used as motivation if the two meet up for finals rematch in June. Let us know in the comments who you think was the real MVP.
