While Cleveland Cavaliers much rather see Steph Curry suspended for that temper tantrum he threw after acquiring his sixth foul of the game during the stretch part of Game 6 of the NBA Finals, the NBA Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations saw things different. He has subsequently fined the unanimous regular season MVP $25,000 for throwing his mouth guard at a fan in the stands.

Curry received a technical and was ejected from the game at the time, adding insult to injury in what was a crushing defeat by the Cavaliers in Ohio.

Meanwhile, Steve Kerr was fined the same amount in a separate incident, one involving his post-game comments and criticizing officials. He lashed out in the press conference following the game saying three of his fouls were “absolutely ridiculous,” calling out officials by name. He said the MVP of the league shouldn’t be getting called for flops like that and he’s glad Steph got emotional threw his mouth piece to the stands.

You knew he was going to get that fine as soon as he opened his mouth.
