USA Basketball Chairman, Jerry Colangelo Reveals The 2014 Men’s USA Basketball Training Roster
Now that memorable games of World Cup 2014 action came to an end last night, USA Basketball of the Olympics has released the Men’s Team USA training camp roster. Obviously missing from the games this time around are LeBron James, Dwight Howard and Kobe Byrant; but Russell Westbrook revealed last week he would be withdrawing himself from play – which we know Thunder fans are relieved to hear (given his recent injury problems).
Training camp begins in exactly two weeks on the week of July 28th in Las Vegas, with their first game against Brazil on August 16th. The 19-man roster features tons of familiar and a few new faces that will be fighting for elite company, to etch their names into the history books that are held by The Dream Team. We’ll find out in the coming in the coming days who made the cut, but check the jump for a preview video and the official roster.
