Terry Rozier III Reacts To Celtics Game 1 Win Over 76ers

Considering how hot the Philadelphia 76ers were coming into their Game 1 matchup with the Boston Celtics, nobody, maybe not even C’s fans, predicted them to win. The injury to Jaylen Brown really set the team back even more, after being riddled with injuries all season and nobody knew who would step up to help the team.

Well, they all did. Including Terry Rozier III.

He and Jason Tatum dropped 29 points and 28 points, respectively, leading the Celtics with a commanding Game 1 win at home to take the 1-0 series lead. Al Horford also had 26 points and 7 rebounds in the win.

After the game, Rozier spoke with Scott Van Pelt about Boston being underdogs, him using the disrespect for his own motivation and why the coaches have much of the credit of them winning. He said they have no excuses and injuries have been a setback all season, but they’re going to keep playing their game, no matter who they play.

Boston fans troll Ben Simmons with “You’re Not A Rookie”

“That’s not who we are, definitely. I think when everybody’s on, we’re the best defensive team in the game. There’s a lot of stuff that we game-planned that we didn’t execute.”

Joel Embiid finished with 31 points and 12 rebounds, while Ben Simmons scored 18 points in the loss. Embiid said that “rust” was not a factor and they should come in ready every game. He emphasized how much he needs to play better defense and the team needs to as a whole.

Both teams are one of the most promising young teams in the league, so it’ll be interesting how this series plays out. Especially if the Celtics find the motivation and will to win, even with all the injuries.
