Will there be an upset?
Marcus Mariota has been the Heisman Trophy favorite for most of the year, but now the other names on the ballot have been revealed. Wisconsin running back Melvin Gordon and Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper will join Mariota in New York City on Saturday night for the Heisman ceremony, when the official winner of the trophy is crowned.
Considering the Oregon Ducks made it with a No. 2 ranking in the college playoffs this year, Mariota seems like the landslide winner, but the Heisman Trophy Trust will still put old alumni, media members and the Nissan fan vote to the ballot to lock in the final winner.
The 80th Heisman Trophy will be revealed at the official ceremony taking place on Saturday, December 13th at 8pm EST, on ESPN.
