The B.S. Report: DeMarcus Cousins

DeMarcus got his nickname “Boogie” from Rod Strickland.

Even though Jalen Rose has been pushing Bill Simmons for months to get Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins on the podcast, he actually managed to miss his episode. Bill was left to hold down the fort by himself, and although we think things might have been more interesting with Jalen, it was still an interesting interview nonetheless.

Even though DC might have a chill demeanor and is very soft spoke, certain topics definitely set him off. For example, when Bill asked him who he dislikes most in the league. He actually thought he had some sort of beef with Blake Griffin on the court, but it turns out Boogie doesn’t like his teammate, Chris Paul.

Among the other topics they discussed include, the Kentucky 2010 team vs. their 2012 squad, who is his biggest competitor on the frontcourt (see: Al Jefferson), why he leaves with bumps and bruises after playing Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol and what he thinks of the new Kings management. He also named his favorite point guard and players in the league and says that whenever he plays old Kentucky teammates John Wall or Eric Bledsoe, he gets into competitive beastmode.

He also credits last year’s promising season to the fans, for standing up for the team when they were about to get relocated and predicts Sacramento will make the playoffs at the 7th or 8th seed this year because of the new pieces they added.

All in all, get to know the man they call “Boogie” through his latest interview.
