Pau Gasol

Prior to Mike D’Antoni’s exit of the Los Angeles Lakers a few weeks ago, it was a sure given that Pau Gasol could be leaving his purple and gold behind for a chance to take his talents elsewhere. Over the years, he’s developed a strong friendship with Kobe Bryant and could be seeing himself sign his final contract under the purple and gold this summer before he turns 34 in a few weeks.

Pau still has a lot to offer any team in the NBA and he decides to leave, there’s many suitable contenders in our opinion that could over achieve with him on their team. More in particular any team associated with LeBron James, if that’s Cleveland or in South Beach. He’s also been heavily inked to the Bulls in recent years, while they still decide on what to do with the expiring contract of Carlos Boozer next summer; along with both Cavs and Hornets who have attractable young talents.

The safe bet is Gasol staying in Los Angeles, but we’re certain he’ll have some ego this free agency when decided to stay with the team who’s teased on trading him since the infamous Chris Paul fail in 2011.

Likely Destinations: Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Hornets
