Mario Chalmers
Mario Chalmers has had all-star quality aspirations being around LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade but killed his stock during the NBA Finals going ice cold on offense and more importantly defense. In the past, he was the go-to-guy whenever Miami’s big 3 would go on a cold streak to provide needed point production. When an inconsistent Chris Bosh, exhausted LeBron and beat up Wade showed up to the Finals, Chalmers was also nowhere to be found in action. This led to a benching in game 4 and even losing his starting spot in game 5 to Ray Allen and Norris Cole.
Given his history with Pat Riley and Coach Erik Spoelstra, we know they’re still loyal to Mario Chalmers, who’s helped them in the past to win two championships after taking the starting role during the team’s 2012 run. His free agent stock dropped drastically due to the finals, but any team could use him as an above average back-up guard on a contender or starting gig for a lame duck team.
