The Biggest Free Agents of the 2014 NBA Off-Season

NBA: Memphis Grizzlies at Phoenix Suns

Zach Randolph

It feels like Zach Randolph doesn’t the right respect from viewers of the NBA. In our eyes, Z-Bo’s a rare breed in the league of few bigs who have the ability of having a legitimate post game and blue-collar defense. Many coaches like a player of Randolph’s caliber, as the Grizzlies organization have moved on from Lionel Hollins to ink David Joerger to a multi-year extension.

Memphis did have a 50-win season, as the 7th seed in a very tough Western Conference. Signing for the biggest contract extension he can see in-house with the Grizzlies and having chemistry over the past few years with Mark Gasol and Mike Conley Jr. is something he’ll take into consideration for his last big pay day. The path to an NBA championship would be suitable for him to dominate in the eastern conference and more in particular with the Chicago Bulls, who fit what he needs the most in Memphis, athletic play and consistency from three to free him up in the paint.

Averaging 17 points and 10 boards is something most GMs are not overlooking, but his asking price could be too high for some trying to take the next step.

Likely Destinations: Memphis Grizzlies, Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets
