We may be on the brink of Winter, but MLB is just heating up on the free agency and trade front. With Robinson Cano looking for the biggest contract in sports history, the first domino to fall this offseason is a blockbuster trade between the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers. The surprising deal will send Prince Fielder and his huge contract to the Rangers for Ian Kinsler.
Though Prince was rather disappointing in this year’s playoffs, it is still surprising that the Tigers would flip him that quickly after signing that $214 million deal. If this is any indication of the upcoming MLB offseason, then we are in for a wild ride.
