ESPN affiliate, Grantland is beginning an all new series entitled The Finish Line. Before Steve Nash turned 40 earlier this month, Grantland profiled the Los Angeles Laker point guard’s long road to recovery; which has plagued with a severe back injury getting worse and most recently with irritating nerve issues for both legs.
n two years with the Lakers, Nash has only played 60 of their 135 regular season games thus far. The future hall-of-famer is shown training from the indoor courts with Baron Davis, to the blacktop courts in the late night and multiple training sessions in the weight room. He’s still is under contract with Los Angeles until the summer of 2015, but could be facing imminent retirement if his body doesn’t respond right to rehab.
