Usually in the NFL, if you’re a head coach and your team loses 11 straight games then you’re going to be on the hot seat. For Gary Kubiak, that seat exploded today when the Texans fired him after 8 seasons with the organization. Everything started out like normal for the Texans this season, as they won their first two games; but then the wheels completely feel off, and they now rest at the cellar of the NFL. Things will not get easier for Houston either with them needing to find a new coach this off-season and also figure out the situation at the Quarterback position.

At this moment, they would have the #1 pick in the NFL Draft in May and taking a QB could be a real possibility with Matt Schaub most likely being finished with the team. The good news for the Texans is that they have one of the more talented teams in the league; and with a few key moves this off-season, it should be able to get right back into the thick of things in the AFC in the coming years.
