Rick Fox

Rick Fox isn’t necessarily a reach to be a head coach successor under Phil Jackson. The problem, however, is his lack of experience on the sidelines and career ending injury that hindered him from being an on-court coach, his former purple and yellow comrade Derek Fisher, has gained with staying healthy to extend his career. Phil Jackson has subliminally revealed he wants to have the triangle offense in his system, citing some players on the team that fit his vision for the franchise heading forward.

A former player willing to embrace the idea of the turning the apple into the triangle that knows the system is Rick Fox. He’s publicly started a recent campaign for the Knicks, believing the Zen master is the best person for the job, but would be more than up to the challenge for the opportunity.

Luckily for Fox, Jackson is looking for a young coach to mold similar to how Pat Riley had success with his protégé Erik Spoelstra in Miami. Having star power in Hollywood and the media also makes Rick a favorite among some for the Penn Plaza destination.
