The Knicks Made The Celtics An Offer For Rajon Rondo Over The Weekend?

New York Knicks' Anthony grimaces as he leaves the court after injuring himself when falling at midcourt during the second quarter of their NBA basketball game against the Cleveland Cavaliers

If you have watched any Knicks games early on in this NBA season, you know that they aren’t in a good spot right now. A lot of their early struggles have to do with Tyson Chandler being hurt and their owner being a total nut case, but with the way things are going, major changes might have to be made sooner rather than later.

Apparently, the Knicks front office knows a move needs to go down as well, because according to sources, they offered a pretty hefty package to the Boston Celtics for Rajon Rondo. The report said that the Knicks offered Iman Shumpert, Amare Stoudamire and Raymond Felton to the Celtics for Rondo, but Boston did not bite on the deal.

OS REWIND: Could The Houston Rockets Land Rajon Rondo In A Trade?

The Celtics trading Rondo seems like something that’s going to happen, but we just don’t know when at this point. Rondo has been the most talked about player to be moved this year, first with the possibility of going to Houston and now New York.

Some clarity also came out yesterday in why the Knicks seem to want to part with Shumpert so bad, as sources revealed that Shump had knee surgery this summer and the timing of the surgery angered some people in the Knicks organization.

We will keep you updated if anything progresses in this story.
