Alexis Sánchez, Arsenal
We’ll start off with arguably the most interesting move of the window. Arsenal signed Sánchez off the back of an impressive World Cup run with Chile, after Barcelona made it clear that his services were no longer needed at Barcelona. While many suggest Wenger should show a little more promise in bringing in new players, the club’s move for the masterclass forward was a statement of intent from the manager, who scored 47 goals in 141 games in Spain. With the addition of Debuchy in defence, we’ll find out whether Mourinho was right about him being a “specialist in failure.”
